The Fort Bend County Ministers Coalition was formed and founded on July 21, 2007. The organization’s founding meeting was attended by 13 area ministers at the Mt. Carmel Baptist church in Richmond, Texas where Dr. Curtis Lucas is the senior pastor.
The ministers met on this day to establish a coalition whose core value and interest would be ministering to the needs of both community and church. The forum and platform of the minister’s coalition was designed to provide a comprehensive approach to perpetuate the great commission of Christ and an effective outreach program developed to minister to the whole man.
FBCMC has recently sponsored several successful fund raiser programs to assist families that were displaced during the Katrina storm in New Orleans, Louisiana. In addition, the Fort Bend County Ministers Coalition is crafting plans to assist churches and families that suffered extensive damage during the Ike storm in Galveston, Texas.
Every member of the Fort Bend County Ministers Coalition is committed to a synergistic pursuance of the fulfillment of the mission and vision of this organization. The energy and interest of FBCMC is palatable to the problems that presently plague our communities and metropolises.
The Fort Bend County Ministers Coalition meets every Monday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at a member of Fort Bend County Ministers Coalition’s church that is designated by the president before the doxology of every meeting. These meeting designations will be provided by the web site on the calendar of events page. |
